Revelation 12

Satan’s days are numbered

Q : “When you, acting as exorcist, order the Beast, which possesses a person, to speak in favour of Our Lady, what does he say ? He is obliged to answer?”

A : “Sometimes God allows Satan to answer, not always but sometimes it can be allowed, and devil says something that assures the dignity of the Mother of God, Her sublime sanctity, Her prerogatives, Her virtues.  An example is reported in a book which contains those evidences (The Virgin Mary and the Devil in Exorcisms).”

You cannot fully understand God’s plan of love to save humanity if you do not take into sufficient account of the reality of Mary. She is certainly subordinate to the principal action of the Incarnate Word. However, She is fully involved in such a close and vital way, that She cannot be forgotten or marginalized. If you do it, it is the end for the man because Satan takes over, and from these stories you understand it very well.

Satan sometimes responds to men with strong expressions: when he says: “If you knew, stupid, stupid .. How much Mary loves you .. you will seize to Her and I would be defeated, but you do not do so because you are stupid.”

Hence the indispensable cooperation of Mary to the central event of Christ the Redeemer and His effective deployment along the historic route. She generously and totally lends herself to that exalted mission: to collaborate with the Son so that none of the humans get lost, She never leaves us alone nor stays secretive, She never gives up.

On a Friday, when Padre Bamonte was doing an exorcism, the devil said: “You do not realize what His crucifixion did, giving you a mother like Mary?!”
“The damned rosary … that one is a chain that wraps me and imprisons me … throw it away …”

The Scripture tells us that God, speaking to Satan, told him, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman.” (Gen. 3:15)

On another occasion, he said, “I have refused That (referring to God), because He made Her, I hated that She were next to Him. I could not bear that a human creature was on top of me, because I was the angel more beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, the greatest, I was Lucifer, the angel for excellence.”

One day, while I was doing an exorcism, addressing the devil, I said, “Look at the beautiful face of Mary.” He answered, “I do not see it, it’s dark, it’s dark, it’s dark for me. I do not want and I cannot watch Her. It’s my ruin, it’s my ruin. She is my doom since always, always. I hate Her, hate Her, hate Her!"

In another exorcism, while we repeated several times the prayer: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you”, the demon said, “Stop. This short prayer is powerful against me.” (Of course you know that this aspiration is on the Miraculous Medal.)

Another time, a few days before Christmas in 2007, he said, much to our surprise, this extraordinary declaration on the love that God has for us, becoming man, and coming to suffer and die for us: “If only you understood how much love moved everything, if you would understand it, I’d be destroyed!”

“From the Cross, He has revealed to everyone that She is called the Queen and Mother, He ruined us! … Entrust, entrusted, is entrusted, humanity is entrusted. Because every man knows this, He has made it known in that moment (and a swear word here)! It happened in that moment, humanity is reborn, but what does humanity know about that? It’s reborn in the womb of Her, all, all, but it doesn’t know it!”

Another time he said: “You think She is up there, but She is not there. She is around you; bastards, bastards. What have you done for having Her so close to you, huh? And when you die, She is there. She is there (he repeats with anger) and She waits for a thought of yours, a beat of your heart for good, your call to That (i.e. Jesus) and She is there.

“She is there waiting for you with the open heart of a mother! Do you know what a mother is, huh? A mother looks tenderly at all her children, teaches them the good, reminds them of the good and She cries, and She cries if the child, the child, the child does not listen, because She knows that I, I’ll take him. If he doesn’t listen I’ll take him!” And this of course was referring to the Mother for excellence, that is Our Lady.

Another time, in a tone of indignation, he expressed as follows: “You, as you call Her, She arrives. Which mother would not do the same? Like a mother, when the child calls, she runs.”

Another day, while I was exorcising, I pulled out from my pocket a Rosary crown and immediately the devil cried: “Take away that chain, take away that chain.” And I asked, “Which chain?” He said, “The one with the cross at the bottom. She whips us with that chain!”

“When you say the Hail Mary it is like as if She takes your spirit and brings you before the Father every time, because She loves you like nobody loves you. She takes you there with Her, and when you remember the vote, That (he refers to the meditation of individual mysteries during the Rosary), it is a torture for me to relive all the times what That did (bad word) because you stop it and another starts.”

“Each grain of the crown, with which you pray, is for us a whip, it burns.”

“Whoever clings to this (and he tried to snatch the crown of the Rosary that I had put around the neck of the possessed person) you will never lose.”

“If all of you knew it, I would be destroyed in less than a second: If you all said the Rosary, this bastard thing, with faith!” (And rejects with contempt the rosary crown that I had in my hands) Do you know what She does when you say this chain?” (followed by a series of insults against me):

“She takes your hand, reaches to the sky and takes one hand of your God, and through this prayer, this (bad word) chain, brings both hands close and brings them to touch.

When these two hands meet, She rejoices, rejoices, rejoices, kneels and prays. Only a few men reach that hand, because many times they tear away from the hand of That Her, because they do not want to do it, thanks to me, that I am their god. But those who succeed, (and repeats) those who succeed, have a clear conscience of it and She rejoices. You can see Her kneel and kiss the pierced feet of the Son, and She says that She did a grace, did this (i.e. some person), because he touched that hand and among those (the inhabitants of Paradise), when it happens, all heaven rejoices.

That sucks, that sucks! And tears of joy come out of those eyes (followed by another dirty word and repeats several times) that sucks!”

Saint Anselm used to pray: “Jesus, Son of God, I beg You for the infinite love that You bring to Your mother, grant us to love Her as You love Her and want Her to be loved.”

Pope John Paul II's Prayer of Consecration of all Individuals and Peoples of the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

In entrusting to you, O Mother, the world, all individuals and peoples, we also entrust to you this very consecration of the world, placing it in your motherly Heart.

Immaculate Heart! Help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths towards the future!

From famine and war, deliver us.

From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.

From sins against the life of man from its very beginning, deliver us.

From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.

From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.

From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.

From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us.

From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.

From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us, deliver us.

Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies.

Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin: individual sin and the "sin of the world", in all its manifestations.

Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite saving power of the Redemption: the power of merciful Love! May it put a stop to evil! May it transform consciences! May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of Hope! Amen.

Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus

Meditations on the Luminous Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary

The new Rosary of Light, the Luminous Mysteries is a gift to the faithful from Pope John Paul II in October 2002. He describes the Rosary as his favorite prayer. In his incomparable letter on The Most Holy Rosary, he writes: “Today I willingly entrust to the power of this prayer, the cause of peace in the world, and the cause of the family.” He calls on every family to pray the Rosary daily for these intentions. In the Luminous Mysteries, we contemplate with Mary, the public life of Jesus. We begin with His Baptism in the Jordan and the Father’s testimony to his Beloved Son. Then we move to that historic moment, the wedding at Cana, when at Mary’s request, Jesus reveals Himself to His disciples by turning water into wine. Following this first sign, we reflect on the fullness of Jesus’ mission, his proclamation of the Kingdom and the call to conversion. With Peter, James and John, we ponder the supreme mystery of light, the transfiguration, when Jesus allowed his Godhead to shine forth. In the fifth mystery, we bow in adoration of Jesus in the sacrament of His Pascal Mystery.

The First Luminous Mystery
The Baptism of Jesus

Our Lord Jesus Christ is baptized by John in the River Jordan. The word, Christ, means the Anointed One. Jesus is anointed by the Heavenly Father, and the oil for this anointing is the Holy Spirit. We read in St. Mark, “And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opening and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. And a voice came from Heaven: You are my Beloved Son. With you, I am well pleased.” Jesus is the Beloved Son of the Father. He is the Messiah, the Anointed One. My loving Lord Jesus, by Your immersion in the River Jordan, you made holy the waters of Baptism in which our sins are washed clean. We have been born again to new life and become the dwelling place of the Holy Trinity. Lord, let the promise You made to Your disciples be fulfilled in us. May we be baptized in your Holy Spirit every moment of our lives.

The Second Luminous Mystery
Jesus reveals Himself at the Wedding in Cana

Now, Mary, the Mother, becomes Mary, the Disciple. She does not know what Jesus will do but She believes that He will do the most perfect thing. She teaches the disciples to open their hearts to faith. They look on and witness the miracle. Suddenly, they realize that this grace of faith in Jesus has also changed the water of their poor lives into the new wine of His Kingdom. He, who up to this has been their teacher, they now see as their Lord. Blessed Holy Mother Mary, seat of wisdom, You have never ceased to teach us about Your Son, and yet, there remains so much for us to learn. Help us through prayer to come more and more into the light of faith.

* * * * * * * * * *

The Third Luminous Mystery
Jesus proclaims the coming of the Kingdom

In St. Mark’s Gospel, we read, “Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the Gospel of God, and sayingThe time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel.” And in St. John’s Gospel, Jesus says of Himself: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life. I have come as light into the world, that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness. Lord Jesus, through our sin, we sit in darkness and in the shadow of death. So many who once walked in your light, now walk in darkness. Jesus, give to us and to all our loved ones, the grace to turn away from sin and turn back to You. And may all people everywhere come to hear the good news of Your Kingdom.

* * * * * * * * * *

The Fourth Luminous Mystery
The Transfiguration

“And as He was praying, the appearance of His face altered and His clothing became dazzling white. This is truly a mystery of Light. The glory of Jesus, the Son of God, shines forth. The light of the Godhead is seen in the face of Christ when the Father proclaims to the astounded apostles: “This is my Son, my Chosen One, listen to Him. Lord, we have never seen You transfigured like this but we have seen the transforming radiance of Your presence on the faces of others - on the young mother with her afflicted child, on the man arriving home from work, on the old priest as he offers the bread and wine, on the young nun as she moves lovingly among the starving poor. Jesus, those who listen to You are always transformed by Your word. Even in suffering, You show us the joy of the Resurrection and a life transformed by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

* * * * * * * * * *

The Fifth Luminous Mystery
The Institution of the Eucharist: The Pascal Mystery

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Church’s life. The other sacraments and every ministry of the Church lead to the Eucharist because the Eucharist is Christ Himself. It is the Pascal Mystery, the Lord’s Supper, the Sacrifice of the Cross, the Resurrection from the dead, and it is the real presence of the living and glorious Christ. O Loving Mother Mary, when You gathered with the disciples for the breaking of the bread, You received from their hands, Your risen Eucharist Son. You helped them to remember Him as they call to mind His words and teachings. His face always before You. Teach us to see Jesus in the Eucharist, through Your eyes of faith, and to love Him, with Your Heart. And may we find Him in every crushed grain of humanity, from which His body is maimed.

* * * * * * * * * *

Concluding his letter on The Most Holy Rosary, Pope John Paul II quotes this beautiful prayer in the writings of the Blessed Bartolo Longo: “O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assault of hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death. Yours, our final kiss, as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven. Amen.
